PSXcel
A downloadable game

Spreadsheet software for the PlayStation, driven entirely with a joypad. This is not a mockup: it computes.
What works
- Formulas, the real kind: =SUM(A1:A9) and friends, recalculated as you edit.
- Charts, colour themes, and an on-screen keyboard for typing anything.
- Sheets save to the memory card, next to your Gran Turismo garage.
The math
It handles floating-point numbers as well as 64-bit integers, and every bit of that math is computed in software: the PS1 has no floating-point unit, so PSXcel brings its own arithmetic. Your accountant would object. It works anyway.
How to run it
Two ways to play:
- PSXcel also ships on the PSoXide Demo Disc with nine other programs, and that disc runs in your browser on the PSoXide page, no emulator setup needed.
- Or take the standalone image from this page: bin plus cue. Boot the cue in a PS1 emulator (PSoXide, DuckStation and PCSX-Redux all work), or burn it to a CD-R for a modchipped console.
Technical details
- Written in Rust on the PSoXide SDK.
- The whole program is a 212 KB executable.
